Reading, Part A: Connla and the Fairy Maiden by Joseph Jacobs

(Photo found online through Google and was found on a clipart website)

This story was very interesting to read and I look forward to using it in a possible story for my portfolio. I really enjoyed how much the King attempted to keep the maiden and Connla apart. I feel like many people can relate to this feeling of their parent attempting to keep them away from the person they love. this is especially true within the LGBTQ+ community.
I can definitely write a story from a queer angle as part of a story. I look forward to reading more Celtic myths and legends and I also look forward to seeing how I can make a story from these tales.
